> Good Grief. Ask them, since the ball is already gone, how does it know the hitter took one hand off the bat. Does it turn around, take a peek and lose 40% percent of it's speed due to bad aerodynamics while it's peaking. When the ball is gone, it's gone. There is nothing you can do to affect it. Baseball clings to verbal lore handed down regardless of slow motio

Well I basically just let them go and kept my mouth shut since I don't have a thorough technical understanding of the swing. I was never taught how to swing as a kid (25 years ago) but I want to teach my kids correctly. It's clear I need to study the swing in more detail. I've just basically tried to keep my sons from having a big weight shift and getting out on their front foot...trying to focus on having a comfortably wide stance, relaxed hands, and keeping the weight back in the middle of the stance.

Thanks for your support.
Jon
