> Terry Shaw joe....thanks for your comments but they are way off base from what i was asking jack.....the key question to jack is to what degree the coaches were asking the bug to be squashed & hips be turned BEFORE opening the shoulder (& call squasing the bug pivioting or anything else...we all understand what it means).....these are NOT useless details.....if these coaches were advocating turning the hips almost 90 degress (& therefore almost FULLY squashing the bug) BEFORE letting the shoulder rotate, then these coaches were way off base.....if, on the other hand they were saying to START hip rotation (& START squashing the bug)....for example, let the hips rotate a moderate amount like 15 degrees or so, that is a completely different story & there is a mainstream theory out there (whether or not we agree with it) that suggests doing exactly that.........so again, to jack......specifically HOW MUCH HIP ROTATION & SQUASHING THE BUG were these coaches advocating BEFORE LETTING THE SHOULDER START IT'S ROTATION? .......and since we got sidetracked here, don't forget i am also requesting a response to comments i made saturday august 19 @ 21:11:21.....respectfully, grc....P.S. WHILE WE ALL WELCOME COMMENTS FROM ANYONE AND EVERYONE AS IT PROMOTES GOOD DISCUSSION, IT WOULD BE GOOD TO CLEARLY UNDERSTAND WHAT THE AUTHOR WAS SAYING & ASKING BEFORE COMMENTING....THAT IS, ADDRESS THE SPECIFIC COMMENTS & QUESTIONS....TWISTING THE COMMENTS AROUND OR DISMISSING THEM AS "SILLY DETAILS" IS NOT PRODUCTIVE.....grc...
