Timing a Pitch

Posted by: wazoo (wazoo12345@yahoo.com) on Wed Mar 19 06:29:06 2008

My son plays on a 14U travel team and is a solid fastball hitter. Against major teams he hits for a high average. When he comes up against a slow AAA pitcher he struggles due to being in front of the ball all of the time. Any suggestions on how I can help him better time the slow pitchers? He struggles when the speed is in the 55 to 65 mph range, but rips anything 70 or better. Thanks.
