An incorrect insinuation about me as well as many of the people who frequent this site. I am very familiar with the hitting and pitching universe, the hitting wars and the pitching wars. The pitching wars were amusing at first, but ultimately mean spirited and boring. People like Jack and Dave Hudgens prevented the hitting wars from getting out of hand. I remember biomechanic baseball and Petricca and understand how some of their thinking has filtered into current instruction. Own Coop’s and Dixon’s books and Hudgens tapes as well as numerous others. I remember Skilton’s web links and finding the musings of a very interesting man: Mr Batspeed. I remember when your site was the only game in town. I have read your articles in Collegiate Baseball. After all, I’m still a vulture at heart.

I am appreciative of what Jack Mankin, Epstein and Hudgens and others have done: provide information that is concise, readily available, and useful. Even if I don’t agree with all they say, I applaud their efforts. They appear to enjoy building things up, not tearing them down. I have learned and continue to learn more on this site than anywhere else. Some people like to go on mining expeditions, but I don’t have the time. As you have so often pointed out, the window of opportunity is a short one. BBatter400
