Purely rotational swing utilizing THT. Hands are initaly higher than most but they drop after inititation. He is a great hitter who hits with power to all fields.

Jeff, sorry but what you said is completely ignorant and that post should be removed from the board. My batting practice coach pitched BP for the Red Sox at Spring Training this year and he said the media couldn't be more wrong about Manny Ramirez. He said he was a great fun loving guy who works hard and his teammates all love him. When he first arrived Manny was the first one to greet him and strike up a conversation. This isn't the first time I've heard the media is wrong either. I advise you to keep quiet about players you do not know personally. There is more to some of those stories we hear on TV than we will ever know. I see Bonds watching home runs all the time, I've even seen him spin around and throw his hands up in the air but no one criticized him. Its just a result from some New York media "player hating" and turning into more over time.

Does anyone have any clips of Ramirez, I can't seem to find them anywhere. His ability to wait on breaking pitches and go the other way with the best of them is interesting. His lower body mechanics seem to vary often on pitches of different speed.
