Im a freshman playing on the vasity team and i wanna get better at my batting any ways to help would be great


In order to become a better hitter I would suggest the following:

1. Find a strength program geared towards baseball.

2. Work with the track coach on ways to improve your speed (leg strength).

3. Read the Science of Hitting by Ted Williams. (Read this book until you know the concepts by heart.)

4. Watch Baseball Tonight and Sports Center. If you have access to a vcr, video tape the games and use the slow motion effects to break down the swings and techniques of different hitters. This information will help you to figure out your own swing. This will also help you understand and give your own opinions and analysis of our discussions on this site.

5. Above all practice and watch your diet.
