Hi SkH,

I don't know the formula, but ...

you are pitching 3/4 the distance so pitch 3/4 the speed - 45mph. 'Flight' time is then held constant.

I think the 'reaction' (delivery) time at 40ft to 60 mph is about .454 seconds. Given the normal human reaction time of around .2 secs there is not much time for hesitation.

FYI: 1 mph = 1.466 feet per second
