Hi Doug

It was in the late 1980’s when I charted the swings of Matt and Ron. At that time they both had great shoulder rotation for middle-in pitches. Although I never charted Matt’s swing after that, I did notice from looking at his swing a few years later, that he appeared to be generating greater early bat speed than before. Therefore, your observations may very well be true. But, when I charted his swings, it was as I described.
