Hi All

> I looked at most of the side views shown and found about the same “hands/shoulder relationship as the elbow lowers to the slot and the batters begins to rotate.” I choose Boone (upper right clip) because it gives the largest and clearest view. But whether you look at Jones, Williams, ect., you will see about the same hands/shoulder relationship occurring during the swing.

Jack,

FINALLY, I've got all of you looking at a website were we all can see the same batters at the same angles!

I HAVE NOTICED, NOT ONE PLAYER on the SITE(MPEGS, including BOONE) USES YOUR 1) "top-hand pulling backward toward the catcher - "Pre-launch torque")" RE: http://www.batspeed.com/mech03.html

2) "Top-Hand-Torque ("THT" - top hand pulls back toward the catcher, assisted by the back elbow lowering, causing the bat to accelerate toward the catcher in an arc)" RE: http://www.batspeed.com/mech06.html

3) "The back-elbow lowers toward the batter's side (slot) as the batter pulls back with the top-hand (THT), increasing the bat-head speed in an arc toward the catcher."
RE: http://www.batspeed.com/mech07.html

Majority of the PLAYERS SHOWN "SLOT" their ELBOW, There is NO THT! One can see the BLUR OF THE BAT and see how the BAT TRAVELS!
IT IS NOT TOWARD ANY CATCHER!

Jack, Are you suggesting that THT is a more efficient way to achieve bat speed? I've got your DVD and I do not see any MLBers using THT this early in the swing. I see a slotting of the elbow..................NOTICE THE BLURS OF THE BAT!!!!
IT TELLS YOU WHERE THESE MLBers are BRINGING THERE BAT (ie: BAT DIRECTION) ...... NOT "THT" as you seem to suggest?

Now JACK it APPEARS by BAT MOVEMENT that these MLBers are "Slotting" their ELBOW and the bat points toward the on-deck-circle. NOTICE THE BLURS OF THE BAT!!!!

The back elbow does not assist when it slots! It seems to be the "pre-start" of torque with the hands once the elbow is SLOTTED! NO THT till elbow is slotted, Watch the Bat Blur (Movement of the bat in the swing)

Any insight from You and the board would be greatly appreciated,
WT
:)

Jack, Are you suggesting that THT is a more efficient way to achieve bat speed? If so, What MLBers on the website are doing "THT" toward catcher? http://www.youthbaseballcoaching.com/swings.html

Another link: notice "swing" is singular not plural in address......... http://www.youthbaseballcoaching.com/swing.html shows Mickey Mantle and Pete Rose and then link to all the MPEGS of MLBers
