Thanks for the advice,

But I haven't been focusing on putting the elbow into the slot. I've been focusing on trying to keep the elbow up for and not letting it fall too far down. It worked really well at a practice that I had tonight. So I guess I will just try to keep my elbow up and not let it fall too far down.
