grip

Posted by: Jakob Theurich (tapey@hotmail.com) on Fri Jul 8 14:08:55 2005

I once seen in a baseball book by a major leaguer (not sure who) that a so called "power grip" was done by lining up the middle knuckle on one hand with the back knuckle on the other hand. Compared to just lining up the middle knuckles. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this or knows anything about this. I am an avid player and have always wondered about this and if it works. I would say I have good strong wrists that add that POP to my swing or so I have been told. I am not sure how exactly this alters the wrist movement compared to a normal grip. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.
