This isn't true, it's not just extension that is the problem with being connected. Initiation is just as important with being connected to the rotational momentum.

I would say you will see just as many problems at initiation, as you would see from extension problems.<<<

I stated in my post, “When the batter’s mechanics produce an angular displacement of the hand-path (CHP), the body’s rotational momentum is transferred into bat-head acceleration (the pendulum effect). Mechanics that produce a straighter hand-path result in a "disconnection" of the bat-head from the body’s rotational momentum.”

With a straight extension of the hands, how much pendulum, whip or flailing of the bat-head would you say occurs?
