Question

Posted by: Joe C. (jcit31@aol.com) on Sun Mar 4 06:24:33 2001

Is the lead arm supposed to remain fully extended across the chest throughout the entire swing? Because I feel that this may be slowing my batspeed, as it limits the amount of torque I can generate (no room!) So, what exactly is the role and positioning of the arms in the swing?
Also, I keep slightly more weight on my back foot than my front, and sometimes I feel that this may be the reason for the occasional loop in my swing. My back also arcs out and slows batspeed, and I feel that the fact that I keep more weight on my back leg than my front may be the cause. Am I correct? And how do I fix this?
Thanks,
Joe C.
