preferably a major league hitter demonstrating these techniques?

Maybe I'm not following, but whenever I hear "punch" and "top hand" in the same sentence, I cringe.

I currently play professionally, and I've never seen someone use or teach this swing...but maybe you're on to something. I'd just like to see it first, so I have a clear description of what you teach.
