Back Elbow Lining Up

Hey, Jack are you saying that when you line the back elbow for the path and direction you want to hit the ball ( For example and outside pitch the top hand must be delivered in that direction) that we should use torque to line up the direction of the delivery of our top hand as we read the pitch and decide where we want to hit the ball?
