leverage hitting

In the past couple of weeks, I have not hit the ball well. I have been shifting my weight, putting my power into it, put it has turned into simple flyouts.My coaches are telling me that I am keeping my eye one the ball, but I am uppercutting it. How can I make my swing leverage?
