Re: Striding Towards Plate

What will happen to your power if you stride toward the plate instead of striding towards the pitcher.

I played my first game this season last night, and you sure could tell it was my first time playing in a while. My first at bat the ball went right down, I mean RIGHT DOWN THERE!. And...damn...I stepped forward for some reason, the ball hit the neck of the bat a little below the sweet spot, and a pop to the second baseman at the back of the infield. I could tell if I would have hit that on the barrel it would have been a very high or very hard hit ball to centre field. Also your hips may not be able to open in time to allow the bat to come through.
