> Been there. Assuming basic mechanics of your daughter are sound, you didn't say how old she was. I teach stride first when pitcher gets to power position then swing vs stride and swing together. My son which Jack has helped me instruct, would stride but never take the slack out of his arms. Thus when rotation of the shoulders hit 50% his bat had not even moved yet, result bad timing and slow bat. So here is my suggestion. Do batting practice from about 10-15 feet with you throwing sitting behind an L screen. When you hold the ball at power position. You say stride and load or I say stride and hide your hands. Deliver an easy ball to hit. From the front you can see whether your daughter has taken the slack out of her arms because her hands will disappear behind her back shoulder. For more complete instruction buy Jacks hitting review.
