Hi Jima

Welcome to the site. – I am trying to understand what you mean by “your hands need to adapt.” The fingers can contract or loosen the grip on the bat but the hands can not move on their own to effect the bat’s trajectory. For the hands to apply force (other than grip) to effect the bat’s trajectory requires the movement of the limbs and torso.

So when you say “your hands need to adapt to a fast ball …”, are you not actually saying the mechanics that power your swing must be able to adapt. This is what puzzles me when someone says, “We hit with our hands.”
