grip and hand position at contact

Hey Hitting dudes........

I learned the linear way of hitting first and the preferred grip was the door knocking knuckles aligned. Is this also true for rotational hitting?

Question #2 They also taught palm up, palm down at contact and then I went to a practice for the 2A FL state champs and he wants the top palm to the pitcher. Which is correct for rotational hitting? His team hit for a lot of power.
