back foot

If I want to get my back foot right in my swing, should I be thinking about doing it with my foot, or with something else in my swing. For example, if I want to get on top of my toes on my back foot as I turn my back foot (look at Albert Pujols' back foot in this picture to see what I mean, - http://www.newyorkrangers.cz/mlb/images/pujols.jpg), instead of turning on it and not getting on top of the toes, should I be forcing my back foot to do this, or would I have to fix something else in my swing that would automatically make this happen? Please reply.
