the shoulders have to be involved in the swingfor any power to happen,put a ball on a batting tee, pull the knob about even with the front hip area now stop the swing there ,the knob should be facing the ball on the tee.dont use any shoulder at all just arms and hands and hips if you like how much power can you get ?now do the same but this time allow the shoulder to pull the arms and hands thru contact much more power and bat speed?even to get lead arm extension and finish high like the laus taught you have to use the shoulderwith out shoulder rotation the hands and arm have very little power
