Is there any kind of timing steps or something I could do with the bat to hold me back a little longer? I've thought about trying Pre-Launch torque but im not sure. Some advice would help me out alot.

A couple of things that may help are (1) using a heavier bat. This will slow down the swing slightly but may help your over all timing. (2) Develop some sort of triggering device or leg kick. This helps in timing the pitch if you feel you have a problem that has to be corrected. (3) Lastly you could practice just waiting a hair later while allowing the pitch to get in deeper to your swing zone. Then just react to the pitch and explode into the ball. This takes a lot of practice and an improvement in batspeed to perfect. But it may just work. That technique is more suited to slow pitch softball.
