>jim....my guess is that "slicing through the ball" is simply another term for "hitting through the ball"....which goes hand in hand with releasing the top hand....and i think many on this site may think is a bad idea, although i think it has never been proven one way or another whether it is a good idea or not.........so......maybe it's up to each individual to experiment......respectfully, grc......
