Batter's weight

I recently overheard a little league coach equate 100lbs as a threshold for home run hitting. (over a 200' outfield). Watching the kids growing up the past few years that seems generally true. I see bigger kids can fudge their swing and it far but under 100 you need a sound swing. What do you think of that "rule of thumb"?
