> In my opinion, the best way to hit is to not even think about your lower body. I think you should just take your stride and do what you have to do to get into a good load position, and from there you just have to throw your hands as quick as you can and try to almost whip them. Just try to get as much quickness in them as you can. And for the lower body, i will just follow, you don't have to force it at all. Any comments??

You can only swing as fast/quick as you can turn.

I do not understand what is meant by making your hands as quick as possible.

The kinetic chain works from the lowerbody to the upperbody. The arms/hands and bat receive the energy/momentum from this sequence. To have a biomechanical correct swing the arms/hands receive all the energy through rotation/momentum, so you can only swing as quick as you can turn.

Quickness isn't created in the upperbody or hands, so trying to be quick with the hands and hoping the lowerbody will follow isn't a good idea. There might be a factor of thinking upperbody and and getting the lowerbody to support your goal. Although, it's still the lowerbody/hips first in the sequence. And again, you can only swing as fast as you can turn. Having the correct sequence means there's a step up in each segment. Each segment will rotate faster then the last segment.

You have to take video to see how good your swing thoughts are working.
