Re: bat speed AFTER contact

Posted by: BobL (bobbob5@nb.sympatico.ca) on Wed Sep 27 20:39:04 2006

Would someone know whether a bat having a constant speed of 80 mph for the last 12 inches prior to contact have the same level of impact as a bat in the process of accelerating while reaching the speed of 80 mph at contact? By the way, the late Mr. Demarini also believed that his parachute device is effective at improving one's ability to maintain batspeed at contact. Any thoughts on this?
