There are several ways to grip the bat, my advice would be to find a comfortable grip in the fingers and grip the bat loosely, that's what's worked best for me. If you are very strong in your back and your shoulders, you might try gripping the bat deeper in your hand, but do so with caution, such a grip can improve power, but it caused an uppercut and can cause bad habits.
