Re: is hitting .450 in little league good?

Posted by: Harry S. () on Wed Aug 29 14:42:08 2001

i'm 13 years old and i've been playing little league baseball my whole life. my dream is to one day play pro baseball. is hitting .450 or better in consecutive seasons good enough to make it to the big leagues?

That depends on how good your competition is. Also, stats aren't enough to make it big... scouts rather see talent, ability, batspeed, potential, mechanics, etc. etc. They only really check out stats for evaluation of the players strengths and weaknesses and to see what areas can be improved upon.
