Mike,

For a drill, take your batting stance standing directly perpendicular to a wall. The wall should be 4"-6" in front of you, which is the optimum stride length. Take repeated strides, butting the side of your foot up against the side of the wall, remembering to keep your weight on your back leg. Think of your stride as stepping carefully on an egg, as to not break it. The problem with your stride is that you are bringing too much weight forward with it. This drill should fix that problem. Through many repetitions, your muscle memory will take over, and your new good habit will keep you striding well.

Ruben
