Balance & Stockton Tapes

Posted by: mjb (Berg@pop.ctctel.com) on Mon Nov 12 22:47:59 2001

I purchased your tape and have viewed it many times. I am trying to get my 12-year old son to develop rotational mechanics. However, he is very set in his muscle patterns, and he can't resist first lifting his front foot up then shifting his weight forward and swinging with all his might when he swings at a pitch. This seems to make him lose some of his balance at the end of his swing. Many home run hitters seem perfectly balanced after their swings.

On another note, I am impressed with Bragg Stockton's tape on pitching fundamantals. He seems to emphasize using body in a rotational pattern to generate pitching speed. Does he have the same philosophy as you about hitting? Would his hitting tapes be a good purchase?
