hi jrr>I havent seen you hit but mike epstien a former player and student under ted williams doesnt actually teach a batter to step out . he says when you stride keep the heels on the same line as each other ,but opens the front toe to the pitcher.he claims this seperates the upper and lower body and increases power.is that what your doing? epstien and williams hit the inside pitch and were pull hitters /maybe you can look to pull the insude until you get 2 strikkes then change your approach to cover the whole plate
