Jimmy,

How the pros swing they might not understand but I can tell you from watching them and understanding rotational as well as linear mechanics the majority (linear hitters you could count on your hand) hit rotational. It started with Shoeless Joe Jackson (the Babe liked his swing so much he copied it) up to today with Bonds, Pujols, Howard, the list goes on. Tell me how many linear hitters you remember in the history of the game. Not many. People remember the power guys and they were all rotational if you have to give it a name. The big wooden bats they use to swing required it. To see this isn't so is to not understand the history of baseball.

Good Luck

Steve
