I know every college baseball coach in america teaches to hit the ball deep and let the ball travel. Yes it is true to let the ball travel more on outside pitches than inside pitches but contact should be made out in front if you want your son to drive the ball. Tell him to sit fastball and get it early. If he is as good of a hitter as you say than this approach will help him and let him hit. Sometimes the best hitting coach is one who says nothing at all. And if he hits the ball a ton he must genarate some bat speed. Just leave him alone and let him play the game.
