Get these two books and read them front to back.

1. The science of hitting "Ted Williams"
2. You can teach hitting "Dusty Baker"

Just like you would a class, read about the subject from people who actually played the game at the highest level. Also observe those who are doing well.

Practice bringing the hands in slightly toward your body, while taking a full rotational swing. See Grady Sizemore who has to do so because he is relatively close to the plate. Jose Canseco was a master at bringing his hands in while taking a full rotational cut in order to get the barrel of the bat to the ball. Barry Bonds also uses this drill effectively which is why he can actually get jammed and still hit the ball 400 ft. This is exactly what occured when he was robbed in the allstar game by Torri Hunter in centerfield about two allstar games ago. Bonds was jammed, brought his hands in and took a full rotational cut to the ball.
