Great points. Thanks for the tips.

Jack: We'll remember the cue to bring the top hand back towards the shoulder. I think I've been training them to cock the top-hand hand backwards more towards the catcher. I think some of this will be self-correcting as she develops better rotational torque (i.e. less slack on the lead arm should pull the bat through before her hands can push away from her body). We'll focus on improving bht, and work on tht after she's hitting the ball.

Tom: Your point about the power "V" AT EXTENSION is right on target. She's having a problem there, also. She "breaks" her wrists right about when they reach her waist (on dry swings), which will be about when she makes contact. (Obviously, it doesn't matter much how she follows through after contact.) She needs to continue the power V though extension. (I expect that early casting causes this problem also, i.e. "disconnecting" the lower body torque from her upper body. The bht ends early, her hands just collapse back into her body, and all she has left to complete the swing are her wrists and hands.).

Thanks for all. We'll keep learning, and working the drills.

Scott B.
