Jason Giambi

Posted by: Mark () on Mon May 27 14:37:10 2002

I understand now that when Jason Giambi came up to the majors in 1995 he was a 6 2 175 avg. hitter. now he is a 6 31/2 235 pound slugger who can still hit for a great avg. with all his bulk. i always thought he was fat but now i know. So to think without his bulk, and better "mechanics", would he be more or less of a hitter. Just last night i saw him destroy a pitch at Fenway to deep centerfield for a 3 run bomb, and i doubt without that strength he could of hit that high outside pitch over 430 ft. to straight away center.
