My son is 13 and my question is this. he is having problems pulling to left field he hits good hard shots to right but can't get around enough to go to left. any help would be appreaited. thank you Patrick Kidney

Patrick,
Why does your son need to pull the ball? I'm spending time and energy trying to get my 14 year old team to not pull every pitch and hit the ball hard to the opposite field. The inside pitch will, most likely, be an easy pitch to pull won't it? In my experience, when a player attempts to pull a pitch located out over the plate they hit weak grounders or pop ups to the middle infielders. I like Josh's advice to Bill on the subject of the outside pitch....hit it where it's pitched. Teach the rotation mechanics for batspeed and I'll bet that things will progress naturally.
So, if your son is hitting hard shots anywhere...praise him and go hit him grounders. Remember, right left field-right left throw.
Just my 2cts.
Respectfully,
Bruce
