I lurk here often, but post infrequently. This thread, though, got my goat. Since when does stating one's opinion and then backing it up with documentation count as provocation? Especially when one has been directly challenged in so uncivil a fashion? Mort comes across as an obstinate, thin-skinned demagogue. Major Dan’s posts were lucid and light-hearted. How anyone can read the same thread that I just did and accuse Major Dan of being the provocateur is one of the strangest instances of the Rashomon syndrome I’ve ever seen.

Joe A, Frank Jessup and Charley Lau have posted here off and on for quite some time. maybe sam and Phil are (were) new.But Major Dan apparently thinks there can not possibly be more than one person in this world who disagrees with him. Therefore if there is more than one, that person must be an imposter!

Ive seen other people compalin about Major Dan and the webmaster did NOTHING. I saw one guy pead with him, in a very polite way to just talk about baseball and thee web guy deleted his post! Mabe some of you guys think this dude gives good advise.Maybe he does maybe he doesnt but sal is right that if you constantlt act like an $%$^#^ you will lose credibility. And thats what happens some people complain, most people just ignore the dude (major Dan)and how many customers does he chase away?
