Re: The Power Hand

Posted by: Bart () on Wed Nov 13 19:09:34 2002

I seem to think that the top hand is the power hand for the best circular handpath, and the bottom hand is the power hand for more of a elipse handpath. From my experience it seems that too much focus on pulling causes more of a sweeping handpath where my front arm would drift away from my chest before contact. Do u guys think that this is more of an old linear talk debate, or that in a good rotational swing both arms-hands are equally used?

Hitman, I think without a doubt the top hand is "made" for the circular hand path & the bottom hand is "made" for a less-circular hand path.

It has to do with anatomy. It's natural for the top hand to 'want" to go out as well as around. It's natural for the bottom hand to "want" to draw in towards the body.
