Re: Re: Re: Balance & Stockton Tapes

Coach Stockton is the "Father" of bio-kinetics! He's been teaching kinetics for 40 years as this was his doctoral thesis topic. In 2002 he coached the Houston Cougar pitching staff which had one of the finest ERA's in the nation.

His hitting kinetics are sound and true. I highly recommend getting his primary book and working from there.

I am impressed with Bragg Stockton's tape on pitching fundamantals. He seems to emphasize using body in a rotational pattern to generate pitching speed. Does he have the same philosophy as you about hitting? Would his hitting tapes be a good purchase?

I do not know if he has a new one out. stay away from books or videos produced before the 90s because high speed cameras and the science of bio-kinetics has revolutionized pitching especially in the area of injury prevention."
