DROPPING THE HANDS

Posted by: JERRY 220 HITTER () on Sat Oct 29 17:54:00 2011

Some hitters drop their hands but bring them back up as their front foot lands into the launch postion .And they are still very good hitters.Thou if he is dropping his hands and bringing them forward as he strides, he will struggle with hitting like I did when I played .THE hands dropping and leaking foward OFTEN ruin MY ability to hit the ball hard. and also make it hard for the batter to get the bathead on plane with the ball .IF I hAD THE CHANCE TO CORRECT MYSELF I WOULD TRY 1)IN THE STANCE> START OUT WITH MY HANDS LOWER SO MY HANDS MIGHT GO UP INSTEAD OF DOWN INTO THE CORRECT LAUNCH POSTION . .2)WORK ON A HEAVY BAG AND A TEE.AND FORGET ABOUT WHAT THE HANDS ARE DOING FOR JUST A WHILE. JUST KEEP THEM UP AND BACK IN THE CORRECT LAUNCH POSTION AND START THE SWING INATIATION WITH A BREAK IN THE REAR KNEE TOWARDS WHERE THE PITCHER WOULD BE AND LET THE HANDS AND THE CORRECT TORQUING OF THEM TAKE CARE OF THEMSELVES.
