Jim palmer says while announcing that if you pitch a fastball and the batter
missesnit. If the next pitch is a slider uou will be speedingnup the bat amd very
likely hit it out. I get the concept of speeding up the bat snce he was late. But I
would think that would lend itself to the batter missing the ball being ahead
ofnthenslider typicallynslower. Thanks for ur help
