Joe,
I assume she has been playing many years.. and she clearly has the work ethic to improve. Did she always hit like that, or did she at one point have more of a slight uppercut swing plane and is now just not keeping her hands flat through the zone? Are you certain her coach or hitting coach is teaching her the same thing you are? Or might she feel under pressure to conform to different mechanics..what you are describing is more of a slap swing, correct?
If that's not the case, then perhaps making sure she turns/rotates the barrel without moving her hands forward as lower body starts will help.
