I do weighttraining to improve my power. But I have found that if I weighttrain during the season I loose alot of batspeed. I try to stretch but it does not seem to help.

Do core training (abs and lower back) and work the legs as much as possible. For upper body work the hands (grip strength) so that when you release the rotational forces out through the barrel, your hands can still hold on to the bat.

For flexibility, do agility work emphasizing balance and do torso twists for the core to feel more rubber band effect in the swing.
