You can't say shoulder rotation powers the swing and then explain how it doesn't do that.
One or the other.
I suggest the other.
The barrel is turned rearward much more aggressively than tht can account for. The forearms rotate, supinate/pronate, the shoulders laterally tilt, the triangle is rotated. The bat is swung in a "diagonal" plane.....not around the shoulders.
As evidence by the spinal bend/twist rearward that he ends up with....which he didn't start with.
Lateral tilt is a much more leveraged move than shoulder rotation. Much more explosive.
