Does the lightness of the back foot coming off the ground have to do with inside/outside locating? I'd suppose that the back foot rising has to do with the same thing as it does in hitting i.e. locating the bat inside/outside. When pitching a high foot has to do with locating a ball on your glove side of the plate, right?
