I've been told to shorten my swing so I can get around on a D-1 Fastball. How can I do this and what does it mean? I have a lot of power but often do not make contact. I have to put the ball in play more to increase my playing time.

I don't know any major league hitters that use it. People (coaches) advertise it, but who have you heard say that they use it?
