Re: Rolling wrists...

Posted by: Bart () on Fri Jun 13 14:01:55 2003

I recently realized that I roll my wrists at impact. I'm having a lot of trouble figuring out how to eliminate this from my swing. Any tips or drills on how to work this out?

Try setting up a target (such as a tire) at a distance close enough to the plate so that it would be impossible for you to not extend (have top arm in "L" position). I guarantee that if top arm is in "L" position at contact you will not roll the wrists. Move the target farther out in front, enabling your top arm to extend & you will see how easy it is to roll over.

A side note: someone (I don't remember who) previously could not understand the connection between "L" position, full XT & wrisat rollover. Maybe this will help.
