bat size

Is there a chart on the web for what length and weight of a bat is correct for a certain age, height and weight of kids? I heard that the kid should be able to hold the end of the bat with one hand extended out straight to their side without a problem. As for length that the bat should be as long as the center of the chest to the end of the hand if the arm is extended straight to the side. Is this correct? My specific question is that my son just turned 9 years old and I bought him a tpx bat that is 30" long and 17.5 oz, is this too long? He is 52" in height and 63 lbs in weight. He gets good bat speed but it seems long but if it is ok, he might be able to use it for a couple of years before needing a new one.
